Contest Rules
- You must be 16 or older to enter.
- You may submit multiple stories, but you can only win once.
- Entries must be submitted by the deadline of October 27 at midnight.
- All entries MUST be original work. Any work that has been plagiarized will be disqualified.
- Submissions must be two sentences in length, with a maximum of 400 characters.
- Stories that do not adhere to the two sentence, 400 characters or less rule will be disqualified.
- Entries will be judged by a blind review panel.
- Submissions that violate privacy, promote illegal activity, or incite violence will be disqualified. Subject matter must be appropriate for display in the Library and on Library social media.
- To qualify, you must include your name, email address, and phone number with your story.
- LSC Tomball Library staff members may submit entries but are not eligible to receive prizes.
- You must be able to pick up your prize from the Library to be eligible to win – prizes will not be sent by mail.
- Stories will be shared and displayed both online and at LSC Tomball. If you do not want your work to be shared, you should not join the contest. LSC Tomball reserves the right to use entries for promotional purposes in future contests.
- Stories will be judged on creativity, originality, and overall creepiness.
