FAQ for LSC-Tomball Students: Signing up for a Library Card Number

This guide answers frequently asked questions that have arisen while the library has been closed due to the Coronavirus pandemic. If you are a new student or new to using online library resources, check here for answers to common questions.

Getting a Library Card

Your library card number is located on the back of your student ID. If you do not have a student ID, you can request a library card number be emailed to you. Simply fill out the form located at the bottom of this page. Remember that you can also sign in with your myLoneStar credentials. This number will grant you access to digital resources. Once the libraries reopen, you will need to apply in person for a physical ID card if you wish to check out non-digital library materials.

Though the library is physically closed, Research Databases containing Articles, eBooks and Videos are available to our students, faculty and staff 24/7.

To access the databases, enter your 14-digit library barcode number located on the back of your college ID/ library card when prompted.  No college ID or library card? Use your myLoneStar username and password by clicking the link below the barcode login when prompted before entering a database.
