U.S. History to1877

Introduction

This study guide provides options to start the research process of finding materials in US history.

Getting Started

This guide will help you to find resources on U.S. History (to 1877) including the major early American wars. European nations came to the Americas to increase their wealth and broaden their influence over world affairs. The Spanish were among the first Europeans to explore the New World and the first to settle in what is now the United States.
